You can apply to join the Battlefield Bad Company 2 beta over at the Battlefield Bad Company 2 website You just need to fill out the very simple form and you are in for a chance to get a PS3 beta key.

The beta starts 19th November.

This is a bit late coming now because i have been a bit busy and being the only hands on deck its hard to keep up. So a lot of things have gone on since Modern Warfare 2 was release, we had the patch because trophies werent working then when Infinity Ward was adding more multiplayer servers the servers went down altogether but this was ´the fault´of the third party company that manages the servers for PS3 Modern Warfare 2.

The friend invites do not work like at all but there is a temporary fix:

When you receive an invite and you are in-game press the PS button on your dualshock, then highlight account management and press triangle and sign out. Now click sign in then go to your messages and accept the invite, if the friend who invited you waited for you to come back online you should join their party without a problem. Bit of a pain but better than nothing.

A patch is due to be released tomorrow (Friday 13th) to sort the party system out however i dont seem to optimistic but lets see what tomorrow brings.

Nothing much to get excited about here, some good DLC and themes thats about it, sure everyone will be playing on Modern Warfare 2 now the servers are back up even though the party system is still a bit of a mess.

Robert Bowling has confirmed via Twitter (FourZeroTwo) that the leaderboard will not be reset for people who bought the game legally from a store that broke the release date only the gamers who got an illegal/pirate/modded copy will be punished.

Any players who purchased a legit retail copy will not be reset or banned. Only modded / pirate versions will be.

This seems fair as it isnt the fault of the gamer if the the retailer was selling legit copies before release date, i for one got told to pick up my reservation on Saturday from a big retail chain across Europe, i would be stupid to not go especially as it was Prestige Edition and they only had 3 in store.

To all those who got the copy pirated i hope you will get more action taken other than a stat reset.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 beta has been confirmed by EA  to start 19th November 2009. To start with the beta will feature one map called Arica Harbour and will be 24 player with one game mode called Rush.

North American beta codes are limited and will be available via best buy and Gamestop and IGN.

European codes will be gave away via giveaways on the Playstation  blog and preorders through selected retailers.

Is it possible to stop glitching on consoles?

Using Modern Warfare 2 as an example, the game isnt even officially released yet and check below the videos that have been posted via YouTube already of glitchers who will end up ruining the game but can glitching be stopped? i remember seeing a tweet about Modern Warfare 2 and people who test it to try and glitch therefore they can fix it within game, i dont know if they did this free or what but the glitches seem to be there still and they are all executable via the usual jump on an invisible object and elevating which we all seen in World At War and Call Of Duty 4Modern Warfare.

Glitchers ruin the game and end up being somehow invincible or hard to kill than everyone else like from hiding in crates or going on rooftops that would be inaccessible without some button combos or jumping tricks being used, it seems to me that betas really do need to be used for every online game and more than any for FPS games because now one of the biggest games of the year is going to be ruined by glitchers who run around thinking its fun killing people floating in the air or from some other way that makes them harder to kill instead of playing the game normal and how its meant to be played.

I remember when i re-bought COD4 after trading it, it was a nightmare as everyone on Bloc was on roofs sniping or others in some mad god mode and floating everywhere, i sincerely hope MW2 doesnt go that way.

Check out some of the glitches so far but please do not ruin the game by copying them just learn the places so you know when you get killed b y a box or something you know who it was and where to avoid.

An IGN reader stumbled across a Modern Warfare 2 IGN review which disappeared as quick as it appeared but luckily he got a screenshot for the world to see. The screenshot above gives Modern Warfare 2 – xbox360 – a review score of 9.5 which isnt bad but wasnt supposed to be there and was posted “accidently” according to IGN hence why it got pulled. So if anyone only buys games judging them by the reviews on IGN looks like Modern Warfare 2 is worth the buy.
